JACKIE RAY “JACK” BOND

Jackie Ray “Jack” Bond of Lake Kiowa, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2008, following a valiant sixteen-month battle with cancer.

A true patriot, he served four years on the USS Chara and the USS Pictor, earning the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the Navy Occupation Service Medal.

Jack received his Masters degree in Education at Oklahoma State University. A life-long advocate for children’s education and making the world a better place for kids, Jack served in teaching, coaching and administrative capacities, serving as school principal and superintendent in various communities in New Mexico and Oklahoma during the course of his career.

Gifted with a wonderful sense of humor, Jack always had a joke to share when you needed a laugh the most. While an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter, his first love was spending time with his family.
