Services for Dollie Bunch Wilson, 98, of Gainesville are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Whaley United Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. Wilson died Dec. 15, 2007, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

She was born June 27, 1909, in Navarro County to Henry William and Alice Howard Bunch. On Aug. 18, 1928, she married Roy P. Wilson in Powell. She attended the Denton Normal School, now the University of North Texas. She moved to Gainesville upon her marriage in 1928. She united with the Whaley United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Woman organization, and was also active in the church’s Sunday school for many years. She was a charter member of the Maggie House Garden Club, and was bestowed a Life Membership in 2006. She was also a charter member of the Luncheon Book Club and was well-known for her book reviews.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Wilson Holt and Jackie D. Holt of Gainesville; grandchildren, Dr. Donnie Thompson and his wife, Patti Thompson of Lubbock, Tammy Murray of Gainesville, Paul Webb of Whitesboro, Dr. Jeffrey Holt and his wife, Tami Holt of Dallas, Russel Holt and his wife, Maureen Holt of Houston, and Greg Holt of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Kim Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Amanda Murray, Melissa Murray, Katie Holt; Emily Holt, Austin Holt, Tyler Holt, and Ashley Holt; siblings, Faye Field of Longview and Bunnie Reed of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Wilson on April 19, 1984; and by her daughters, Wanda Wilson Thompson and Bobbye Nell Wilson Webb; and by sons-in-law, A.T. Thompson and R.E. Webb; and by a granddaughter, Kerry Webb Bledsoe.

Pallbearers are Dr. Donnie Thompson, Paul Webb, Dr. Jeffrey Holt, Russel Holt, Greg Holt, Mike Field, Frank Supercinski and Dr. Larry Hancock.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
