AVA MERLE KOEHLER

Services for Ava Merle Koehler, 92, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Family Life Church, with the Rev. Larry Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Koehler died May 3, 2008, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

She was born March 17, 1916, in Jack County to Nathanel and Fannie Lee Dunlap Sockwell. On Dec. 27, 1957, she married Clayton C. Koehler. She was an employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in California for 21 years, and later worked for Weber Aircraft. She resided in Gainesville since 1968 and was a member of Family Life Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Drena (Laster) Clark of Gainesville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton C. Koehler, on March 17, 1990; and her parents.

Visitation is set for the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
