CALLISBURG — Services for Nettie “Marie” Roach Tolbert, 85, of Callisburg, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel of Gainesville with Jimmy Westbrook, minister of Callisburg Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mrs. Tolbert died July 20, 2008, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
She was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Trenton, Texas, to Clay and Ila Roach. She was a homemaker and a member of the Callisburg Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and football.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Art and Lynette Tolbert of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Fred Webb of Gainesville; Cleta and Melvin Ware of Woodbine, and Letha and Steve Salaz of Melissa; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Veda Medlin of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hershell Lee Tolbert on Feb. 13, 1983; and daughter, Patsy Tolbert Moreland.
Pallbearers are Art Tolbert Jr., Ricky Tolbert, Larry James Westbrook, Les Westbrook, Brand Webb, and Michael Ware.
Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Lee Godsey, Ronnie Smith, Luke Godsey, Jake Godsey, Larry Westbrook Sr. and Bobby Roper.
No visitation is planned.
