William Charles Stanley

Funeral services for

William "Bill" Stanley of

Gainesville are scheduled for 2

p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009

at Geo. J. Carroll & Son

Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in

Fairview Cemetery in

Denison. Funeral arrangements

are under the direction

of Geo. J. Carroll & Son

Funeral Home.

Mr. Bill Stanley died on

Saturday, May 30, 2009.

Bill Stanley led a fulfilling

career at North Central Texas

College for 40 years. He mentored,

encouraged and educated

thousands of students

through teaching in both the

Science and Nursing

Departments. Mr. Stanley was

a Division Director and

Chairman of the Science

Department for many years.

He also touched many lives

through his direct involvement

with NCTC scholarships. Bill

Stanley was also known for his

involvement in the Cooke

County Historic Society,

Eastside Church of the

Nazarene and his personal

business, Wildlife

Management Services. Mr.

Stanley will be missed and

memories will be cherished by

family, friends, co-workers

and students that he has

touched through the years.

He is survived by his wife

of 51 years, Mrs. Nona R.

Stanley; daughter and son-inlaw,

Karen and Sam Leach;

son and daughter-in-law, Scott

and Krista Stanley; daughter

and son-in-law, Becky and

Todd Horton and grandchildren,

Brooke, Connor,

Nathanael, William, Aaron,

Lydia, Samuel, Taylor and

Tyler. He is also survived by

his brother and sister-in-law,

David and Carol Stanley and

many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death

by his son, Kerry M. Stanley.

Visitation will be from 7-8

p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009

at Geo. J. Carroll and Son

Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family

asks that gifts be given to

the Kerry Michael Stanley

Scholarship at North Central

Texas College.
