Thelma Russell

Funeral services for Thelma Faye Russell age 86, of Woodbine are set for May 29, 2009 at 2:00 p. m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with the Reverend David Whittington officiating. Visitation will be Thursday May 28, 2009 at 7:00- 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Russell passed away on May 26,2009 .

Thelma was born on February 9, 1923 in Lexington,Tx to Alvin and Myrtle Bounds Russell. She married Joseph Tipton Russell in 1938. Thelma was a lifelong member of the Woodbine Baptist church. Thelma is survived by six children including Ronnye and Sandi Russell of Sherman Tx, Carolyn Hoover of Nocona, Pam and Carl Burrows of Ponder Tx, Robert and Rita Russell of Muenster Tx, Debbie and Wayne Cler of Mountain Springs and Phillip and Roxie Russell of Muenster Tx. She also is survived by 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Thelma is survived by 2 sisters; Snook Harris of Marshall,Tx and Joy Bailey of Roswell, New Mexico. She is proceeded in death by her husband Joseph Russell and brothers Ray Bounds and Lloyd Bounds and a sister Wilma Grant.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Vance Wells, Leslye Wells, Paul Russell, Tony Cler, Darrin Russell, and Greg Russell . Honorary pallbearers Jason Russell, Daniel Russell and Jarin Russell.
