Services for Hugh Thomas “Tommy” Clark, 66, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Hare officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Clark died Nov. 25, 2007, at Pecan Tree Manor.

He was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Gainesville to Leeroy and Easter Fay Roark Clark. On Aug. 5, 1976, he married Bettie Bowles in Gainesville. Tommy Clark was reared in Gainesville and attended Gainesville Public Schools. He was a businessman in Gainesville for many years. He was a volunteer fireman for a number of years, serving in various capacities, including Assistant Chief of Volunteers. He was a member of the Lions Club and the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie Bowles Clark of Gainesville; step-father, Leslie “Squint” Jones of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bruce Kullman of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Cale and Conner Kennedy of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Janace and John Wade of San Marcos; step-brothers and their wives, Dan and Vicki Jones of Douglasville, Ga., Jim and Carolyn Jones of Garland, and Leslie and Janis Jones of McDalla, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leeroy Clark; his daughter, Dainah Clark in 2001; and by his mother, Easter Fay Jones on Aug. 7, 2006.

Pallbearers are Brian Engelbright, Steve Sparks, Bobby Anderson, Larry Blevins, Steven Matthews, Marcus Anderson, and John Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers are Charles Brown, Winford Sherrill, Pat Price, Allen Goldsmith, and Robert Skupin.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
