ERA — Services for Imogene (Jean) Ansley, 80, of Era are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.L. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mrs. Ansley died Dec. 5, 2007, at her residence.
She was born April 24, 1927, in Chattanooga, Okla., to Irving and Joi Ryder Massey. As well as being a homemaker, Jean Ansley owned and operated a beauty shop in Fort Worth for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and enjoyed being with her family, including her beloved dog, Prissy. She particularly enjoyed fishing with her late husband, Reynolds Leo Ansley Sr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna Kaye and Carl Enderby of Era; son and daughter-in-law, Reynolds Leo Jr. and Lydia Ansley of Gainesville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynolds Ansley on Aug. 30, 1985; her parents; and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
