Arnold Head

LAKE KIOWA — Services for Arnold Head, 70, of Lake Kiowa are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Collinsville with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Head died April 23, 2008, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

He was born Feb. 9, 1938, in Pilot Grove to Cecil and Lola Fay Cato Head. On Aug. 18, 1962, he married Marilyn Webber in Gainesville. Arnold Head retired from Atlantic Richfield Company after 32 years employment. He then operated a Real Estate business for 10 years. Following his retirement, he spent every day at the Lake Kiowa Golf Course. At Lake Kiowa, he was an officer of the Men’s Golf Association. He was a member of the Collinsville First Baptist Church. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville and served as a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of several committees and was involved in the church’s TV Ministry. He was also a member of the Gainesville Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Head of Lake Kiowa; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Terri Head of San Antonio; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Kent Lashley of Gunter; grandchildren, Kelsey and Ryne Head of San Antonio, and Alexandra, Spencer and Rylie Lashley of Gunter; brother, E.W. Head of Irving; and sisters, Barbara Kitterman of Gainesville and Robbie Cunningham of Woodbine.

No visitation is planned.
