Kim Brewer

Service for Kim Brewer, 53, of Gainesville is set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Geo. J. Carroll Funeral Home with Rev. Hollis Parsons and Randy Reiter officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Brewer died Dec. 2, 2007, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

She was born July 9, 1954, in Seoul, South Korea, to Jim and Aba Dougherty Mundell. On June 30, 1990, she married Sammy Brewer Sr. in Gainesville. Kim Brewer was employed at Weber Aircraft for 25 years, retiring to become a homemaker. She was an avid bowler and also enjoyed doll collecting. She also enjoyed needlework and the love of her life were her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Sammy Brewer Sr. of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Bernadette Brinkley of Gainesville and Sammy Jr. and Monica Brewer of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Gustavo Medina of Gainesville; daughter, Chanda Gayle Brewer of Greensburg, Penn.; grandchildren, Kylee, Keaton, Kace, Kaleb, Brianna, Blake, Braden, Garrett and Veronica; sibling, Eva Ann Windham and her husband, E.G. of Ardmore, Okla.; and nieces, Tammy Bryant of Ben Wheeler and Ava Jane Windham of Beaverton, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers are Gustavo Medina, Don Brinkley, Sammy Brewer Jr., David Alexander, Ronnie Lovato, Jason Lovato, Greg Dowell, and Matthew Sicking.

Honorary pallbearers are Zach Bryant, Daniel Landeros, Shane Westfall and Grandsons.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
