Marion Gail Sanderson

Funeral services for Marion Gail Sanderson, 86, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 P.M. October 22, 2008 at the Bear Head Baptist Church with Dr. Eddie Chennault officiating. Interment will follow at the High Point Cemetery near Sivells Bend.


Mrs. Sanderson passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1922 in Springfield, Ohio, to John and Orma Smith Campbell. She married Burl Sanderson on July 18, 1964 in Nocona, Texas. Mrs. Sanderson graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, Ohio in 1940. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in dress factories in Gainesville, Muenster, and Nocona and retired as a supervisor. Her artistic talents were displayed in her expertly constructed garments, porcelain dolls, model doll houses, quilting and beading. She was known for her beautiful Christmas ornaments and enjoyed oil painting. She was a member of the Sivells Bend Home Demonstration Club and the V. F. W. Auxiliary. Mrs. Sanderson was a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader.


Survivors include her husband Burl, a daughter Melinda Baugh Bulter of Gainesville, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 7 nieces and 2 nephews and two sisters Jean Clark of Fremont Ohio, and Helen Schreiber, of Columbus Ohio.


She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law Larry Bulter. Pallbearers are Alex Parkhill, Ryan Ramirez, Jesus Larraga, Jr. Jesus Garcia, Randy Henson and Donnie Miller. Visitation will be from 6:00 p. m. to 7:00 P.M. onTuesday October 21, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County.
