Funeral Services for Dorothy Haney Purcell, 84, of Gainesville are set for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday October 28, 2008 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the New Resthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel, 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 27, 2008.

Mrs. Purcell passed away October 25, 2008 in Rowlett. She was born February 24, 1924 in Gainesville, to L. R. and Alice Haney.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William L. Purcell of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Roy and Connie Purcell of Gainesville; daughter Linda Thompson of Rogers, AR; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Brad Durham of Rowlett; son Rickey Purcell of Gainesville; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother William Haney of Angleton, and 1 sister Faye Murphey of Pascagoula, MS.

Pallbearers will be Larry Lammonic, Craig Sellers, Curtis Parsons, Tim Boaz, Gary Sulier, Larry Simmons
