Wanda Couch Williamson

Graveside services for Wanda Couch Williamson, 84, of Covington, are set for 11:00 AM, Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Old Southland Cemetery in Grand Prairie with Rev. Gifford Long officiating.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 28, 2009, at the Baker Chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie.

Mrs. Williamson died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in Denton.

Mrs. Williamson was born October 14, 1924 in Grand Prairie to Ira and Helen Swadley Couch. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1942 and married Chester Williams on June 1, 1947. She later moved from Grand Prairie to Burleson, then on to Covington in order to fulfill her lifelong dream of raising Arabian horses.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband Chester Williamson of Covington, daughter Anne Thomas of Galveston, daughter Beckie Williamson of Little Elm, and Grandson Joshua Thomas of Houston.
