Funeral services for Minnie Glenn Holiman, 83, of Lake Kiowa, are set for 4 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Dr. Eddie Chennault, pastor, Temple Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Interment will be made July 5 at the Pinecrest Memorial Park, Little Rock, Ark.

Minnie Glen Holiman went to be with the Lord on Jun 28, 2008. Minnie was born on March 6, 1925 in Ruston, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holiman, daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Giles Katz, two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by grandson, Steve Katz and wife, Donna; granddaughter Kelli Hurst and husband, Steve; great grandchildren Paige and Clayton Katz and Taylor and Hayden Hurst; nephews Keith Garvin and Greg Garvin, niece, Cathy Jones and husband Fred; niece Minnie Flack; a sister-in-law, Gloria Burton and husband, George; Charlie Stewart, Billie Jo Whiteside, Rusty Garvin and Billy Garvin.

Minnie was the head bookkeeper for Coleman Dairy in Little Rock, Arkansas for many years. Minnie was a woman of faith, family and friends. She loved parties and always having a good time. She was always ready to go on a moment’s notice. Minnie was a wonderful wife, taking great care of her husband with lots of love and dedication. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face.

Minnie enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She was an elegant woman, a true southern belle. She loved life and will be sorely missed by many.

Visitation is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
