NORMA A. MANNING

MYRA — Graveside services for Norma A. Manning, 86, of Myra are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fairview Cemetery Pavilion, with Larry Kremling officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Manning died July 12, 2008, at Ashford Hall in Irving.

She was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Ardmore, Okla., to Robert C. and Bartie A. Godfrey Payne.

She was employed as a receptionist and bookeeper in various organizations in Alaska, Arizona and Texas, including the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville. Following her retirement in 1983, she resided in Myra.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Aleca Renee Manning; her parents; her sister, Betty L. Skocpol; and her brother, Robert C. Payne Jr.

Visitation is set following the service at the pavilion.
