Evan Jeton Dawson

Services for Evan Jeton Dawson, 29, of Valley View are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Services will be under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Dawson died September 13, 2008 at North Texas Medical Center.

He was born on January 4, 1979 in Del Rio to Sam and Penny Dawson. He was married to Brandy Baptiste on June 8, 2002 in Denton. He was a graduate of Valley View High School in 1997 and also from IEC. He participated in Classic League Soccer most of his llife and was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his wife, Brandy Dawson; parents, Sam and Penny Dawson; two daughters, Kaylee Ann and Harley Marae Dawson, all of Valley View; grandparents, Rachel Wilkins Mays of Denton and Hazel “Mungie” Dawson of Gainesville; numerous cousins; one niece; one nephew; parents-in-law, Ronnie and Parva Estes of Valley View; father-in-law, Duane Baptiste of Irving; sister-in-law, Amanda Baptiste and brother-in-law, Dillion Martindale, both of Valley View and brother-in-law, Stephen Lindsey of Collinsville.

Visitation will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First State Bank in the names of his daughters.
