Imogene Fuhrman

Services for Imogene Fuhrmann, 78, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lindsay under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. Fuhrmann died Feb. 7, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 2, 1929, on her grandparents’ farm in Lindsay to Bill and Anna Krebs Bezner. On April 29, 1947, she married William Joseph Fuhrmann at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. As well as being a homemaker, she had been employed as a cook in nursing home facilities. Following her retirement, she volunteered at the Claude Jones Day Care Center. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Survivors include her son, Eugene Fuhrmann and his friend, Sarah Dozier; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Anthony Price; Linda and Joe Goodin, and Sandra and Carl Jones; son, Dennis Fuhrmann; daughter, Judy Reidy; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Victor Martin and Marcie and Buddy Martin; and sisters-in-law, Carla Bezner, Pat Bezner and Patricia Bezner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fuhrmann; son, Larry Fuhrmann; brothers, Billy Bezner, Don Bezner and James Bezner; and by a great-grandson, Michael Fuhrmann.

Pallbearers are grandsons.

The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel followed by a visitation.
