MARION ELIZABETH GREEN

Mass of Christian burial for Marion Green, 83, of Gainesville is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Nicholas Fuhrmann, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Green died Feb. 1, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.

She was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Gainesville to Charles and Margaret Felz Ruwaldt. On Nov. 27, 1954, she married Joseph M. Green in Midwest City, Okla. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and enjoyed traveling in Europe and the United States as an Air Force housewife, returning to Gainesville in 1983. She kept in touch frequently with friends from her life in Gainesville and her travels. She was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Altar Society and was active in supporting St. Mary’s School.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

The rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Don Wiese, Bill West, John Metzler, Paul Miller, N.J. Roessner and Mike Dudenhoeffer.

Honorary pallbearers are Francis Wiese, Betty Wolf, Mary Jo Graham, Ann Otto, Tammy Lange, Henrietta Dieter, Allen Fleitman and Cathey Simmington.
