WANDA MARIE SPARKMAN

Graveside service for Wanda Marie Sparkman, 90, of Clifton, formerly of Gainesville is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery with Ronnie Quaid, minister of Commerce Street Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sparkman died Feb. 2, 2008, at Clifton Care Center.

She was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Cooke County to W.T. and Minnie Chisam Ward. Prior to her retirement, Wanda Sparkman had been employed at the S.H. Kress store in Gainesville and also at the former Opti-Mrs. Thrift Shop. She was a member of the Commerce Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her nephew and his wife, Robert and Gloria Reeves of Valley Mills; brother, Archibald L. Ward of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. today.
