Graveside service for Theda Amburn, 83, of Gainesville is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Chennault officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mrs. Amburn died Jan. 30, 2008, at her residence.
She was born March 24, 1924, in Bridgeport to Charles and Martha Pierce Clay. On April 8, 1943, she married Dinzle Amburn. A former resident of Coleman, she had resided in Gainesville for a number of years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Wright of Gainesville; grandson, Scott Spoon of Lewisville; great-grandson, Scott Spoon Jr. of Lewisville; brothers, Harry Clay of Weatherford and Billy Clay of Lubbock; sister, Mary Basham of Lubbock; special sister-in-law, Janat Clay of Lubbock; loving nieces, Beth Newberry of Weatherford and Kathy Price of Graford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and a sister.
No visitation is planned.
