SUE A. TRUE

Services for Sue A. True, 76, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. February 4, 2008 at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kit Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. True died Feb. 2, 2008, at Denton Regional Hospital.

She was born March 12, 1931, in Courtney Flat, Okla., to Floyd Colby and Gladys M. Young Dougherty. Sue True was an artist and was a member of the Gainesville Visual Arts Club. She was a retired employee of the State of Texas Employment Commission.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Buford True; daughter, Donna True of Gainesville; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Sherry and Richard Smith of Austin; grandchildren, Dr. David Smith and his wife, Jill of Euless, and Rev. Leslie Tomlinson and her husband, Rev. Kit Tomlinson, and their daughter, True of San Antonio; siblings, Wallace Dougherty and his wife, Virginia of Gainesville, Genie Coffelt and her husband, Bill of Elkins, Ark., and Mike Dougherty and his wife, Blanca of The Colony; and a host of beloved friends and family.

No visitation is planned.
