Bill J. Adcock

Graveside services for Bill Adcock age 83 of Forestburg are set for Monday, February 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosston cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Mr. Adcock passed away on Monday Febuary 2, 2009 in Muenster TX.

Mr. Adcock was born on April 16, 1925 in Gorman, TX to Nathanel "Nat" and Iona "Pearl" Huckabee Adcock. Mr. Adcock attended school in Gorman, TX and served in the United States Navy during W.W. II as a Gunnersmate 2nd class. He then worked for the Phillips Oil Company in Borger, TX for 35 yrs. Bill thoroughly enjoyed reading Western Books.

Mr. Adcock is survived by a son Danny Masten, a grandson John Masten and a greatgrandson Cooper Masten. Also, six nieces and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Eva Marie Adcock, two brothers, and two sisters.

A family visitation is set for Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, TX. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosston Cemetery Association.
