Thurman Ioda Springfield

Funeral services for Thurman Ioda Springfield, 80, of Gainesville are set for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home with Larry Kremling officiating.

Burial will follow at the New Resthaven Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Geo J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Springfield died Feb. 11, 2009 at the North Texas Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 12, 1928 in Boswell, Okla. to Isom Beasely and Mary Alice Ioda Moody Springfield. Mr. Springfield married Anna Bell Mosman on April 25, 1947 in Gainesville.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Bell Mosman Springfield of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Ronnie Langston; son and daughte-in-law, Michael and Patty Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Rebecca Springfield; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Thurman is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; four sisters; daughter, Deborah Sloop and son, Thurman Odell Springfield.

Visitation is set for this evening, Feb. 13, 2009 from 7-9:00 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
