Orlean Mae “Sue” Scott Dennington
Funeral services for Orlean Mae Sue Scott Dennington, 84, of Gainesville are set for Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Geo. J. Carroll Chapel with David Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
She passed away on February 25, 2009 at NTMC. She was born on December 8, 1924 to Ray and Theresa Holley and lived in Gainesville her entire life. She married Claude Scott in 1942. After his death, she married Ed Dennington in 1988. She was a homemaker in addition to working with her husband Claude in their automotive business. She was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ through out her adult life.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws Don and Carol Scott of Oolagah, Okla., Ronnie and Nell Scott of Gainesville, two step-daughters Vicki Mikkelson and Debbie Alfredo both of Gainesville, six grandchildren Clay and Mikinzie Scott, Gina Harrison all of Gainesville, Bradley Scott of Dallas, Dr. Brent Scott of Owasso, Okla., and Suzann Scott of Oologah, Okla., and nine great-grandchildren; her sisters Vallioce Livingston of Athens, Tx., Eugenia Bullard of Waco, Tx., ImaJean Smith of Gainesville, Tx. and her brother Dwight Holley of Gainesville, Tx.
She was preceded in death by both Mr. Scott and Mr. Dennington; her sister Phyllis Aston and her brothers James Holley, Carroll Holley, and Willis Holley all of Gainesville.
Pall bearers will be Warren Smith, Joe Holley, Randy Holley, Matt Livingston, Jeff Aston, and Mike Bullard.
