Claude David Johnson

Funeral services for Claude David Johnson, age 77, of Gainesville are set for Wednesday August 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Luke Smith officiating.  No visitation is planned.  Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  Mr. Johnson passed away on August 9,2009 in Sherman.

Mr. Johnson was born on July 25,1932 in Loco, OK to Claude and Myrtle Mullins Johnson.  Claude served in the U.S. Navy as a Barber and continue his career for many years.  He also enjoyed playing the steel guitar in several Country and Western bands.  Mr. Johnson married Shirley Jones on September 28,1978.  Claude was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Shirley Johnson; step-sons and step-daughter-in-laws William and Julie Huddleston and James and Jeri Huddleston; 4 grandchildren; sister Margaret Galubenski.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sylvia Armstrong.
