Bettye Reardon

Bettye Johnston Reardon, age 76, ended her journey on earth and entered the gates of Heaven on March 8, 2009, in her home, with her children by her side. She was born to Frank and Marie Huchtons Johnston in Van Alstyne on Oct. 13, 1932. She was office manager for Johnson Motor Company for more than 25 years. She was an avid Baylor fan, receiving the honor of “Alumna By Choice” from Baylor University on Sept. 5, 1992. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her sister. She will also be missed by many dear friends – old and new.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Massie; children and spouses, Karen Preston, Twyla and Wayne Molsbee, Dawn Hancock, and Frank and Marla Reardon; grandchildren, Josh and Sheena Molsbee, Ryan and Jana Molsbee, Haley Molsbee and Quin Jones, Keli Molsbee and Marvin Royal, Deah, Ali, Bree, and Asher Molsbee, Brandon Petty and Caitlin Sowell, Bailey Hancock and Daniel Malig, Brock and Bari Hancock, Parker and Brittney Preston, Dadrian and Chris Russell, Butch and Christine Reardon, Vanessa Larson, Ginger Cormier, and Rachel and Troy Casey; great-grandchildren, Taylor Molsbee, Berkleigh Preston, Zacc, David, Emma, and Drayton Reardon, Trinity and Boo Larson, Stoney and Brian Cormier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, P.M. Johnston; son-in-law, Kelly Joe Preston; brothers-in-law, Jim Eads and Bob Massie; sister-in-law, Beverly Johnston and nephew, Jeff Johnston.

A memorial service is set for Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel. There will be a visitation celebration following the service at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
