Jo Ann Smith

Funeral services for Jo Ann Smith will be Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Jetton officiationg. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove.



Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.



Mrs. Smith passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her residence.



Mrs. Smith was born in Woodbine to Issac and Cordelia Weatherby Weatherley on May 16, 1917.



Survivors include daughters: Mary Rollins of Odessa, Elaine Hogan of Gainesville, B. J. Baggs of Lindsay, Sue Knight of Suwanee, Georgia, Patsy Robertson of Gainesville, and Janice Carr of Colombus, Kansas; sons: James Boone of Fort Worth, David Smith of Gainesville, and Larry Smith Gainesville. Survivors also include 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Smith in 1979, her son Donald Boone in 2000 and her grandson Bill Hogan in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Herbert, Floyd and Arthur Weatherly, and her sisters Jewel Bird, Willie Jetton, Vera Price, Opal Harris, and Bess Day.



Pallbearers are George Sollers, Brian Hogan, Slade Smith, Corey Hennigan, Jon Brown, and Brandon Robertson.
