John Hicks

Graveside services for John Edward Hicks, 65, of Sherman, Texas are set for 4:00 P.M. on Thursday April 9th. Rev. Kenny Phelps will officiate with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. Family visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 – 3:30 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Hicks died on April 6, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. He is survived by his wife Jennie King Hicks of Sherman, his children Sylvia Ball of Callisburg, Doyle Hicks of Waco, Tammi Springett of Allen, Lisa Strickler of Frisco; his grandchildren Leslie Shaffer, Jasson Smith, Amber Kunder Miller, Drew Ott II, Keri Springett, heather Strickler, Chelsea Springett, Kirsten Strickler, and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ben & Flora Belle hicks and a great grandson John David Hicks.
