Sid Roland

Graveside Services for Sid G. Rowland, 94, of Gainesville, are set for Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:00 am at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with the Rev. Dr. Bennie Slack officiating. Visitation is set for Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Rowland was born March 9, 1915 in Vernon to W. M. and Willy May Jentry Rowland. Sid spent 34 years in the oil field until retirement. He passed away October 22, 2009 in Gainesville.

Sid is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jim and Peggy Rowland of Whitesboro, and grandsons Dr. Brad Rowland of Austin and Cody Rowland of Wichita Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jewell Rowland, and brothers Bob, Marlin, and M. H. Rowland.
