Ila Davis

Graveside services for Ila O. Davis, 90, of Gainesville, are set for 1:30 PM Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son with Pat Sharp officating. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 18, 2010 from 11:00 to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.



Mrs. Davis passed away December 15, 2010 in Gainesville.



Ila was born on August 15, 1920 in Hood Texas to Claude and Charlotta Permelia Anderson Hatcher. She was a caring and supportive mother. She was involed in all of the activities of her family and was active in all community and school activites. She liked to have fun and people liked being with her. She had many friends and entertained many neices and nephews every summer on the farm. They all loved her dearly.





Survivors of Ila include her children: Donna Sue Wilson, Tom B. Davis and Ed R. Davis; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Darin, Tiffany, Kaden and Everly Davis; Brad, Karissa, Hunter and Conner Davis; Darrell and Sheri Wilson; Lance, Stephanie, Rylan and Presley Wilson; Chris, Kristie, Bradley and Allison Davis; Kim and Scott Sanford; Paige, Charlie and Layne Hedges; Kayla and Carli Davis.



She was preceded in death by her mother Charlotta Permelia ( Mealie) Anderson, her father Claude Hatcher, her nine siblings, son Don, her grandchildren Colby and Jason and by her husband Thomas Ben Davis.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cooke County Home Hospice or the charity or your choice.
