Funeral Services for Grover "Tony" Cleveland Williams Jr, 86, of Whitesboro are set for 2:00 pm Wednesday December 8, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dexter cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday December 7, 2010 at the funeral home.

Tony was born on June 19, 1924 in Sturgeon, TX to Grover Cleveland and Grace Ayres Williams Sr. He passed away Monday December 6, 2010 in Gainesville.

Tony loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed playing dominoes. He served in the US Navy during World War II from July 1944 to February 1946 all in the Pacific Theater. In September of this year, he celebrated 69 years of Marriage to Polly McCormick Williams. He always attended his children's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events. Tony had a very generous heart for those in need and was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years Polly of Whitesboro, son and daughter in law Joe Mack and Brenda Williams of Sturgeon, daughter Sue Terry of Sherman, daughter Dr. Fonda Huneycutt of Walnut Bend, grandchildren Harrell Huneycutt and his wife Karen, Joe Wayne Williams, Holly Huneycutt Oliveira and husband John, Alex Terry, Levi Terry, and Page Terry, great grandchildren Harrison Wellman, Hannah Wellman, Audrey Huneycutt, Addison Huneycutt, Chase Huneycutt, Mia Oliveira, and Shelby Karlick, and good friend Don Jarvis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law and mother in law Joe and Minnie Wallace McCormick, son in law Charles Huneycutt, granddaughter Becky Terry Karlick, sister Anne Julia Williams, sister Irene Bates, and sister Eva McMillian.
