Funeral Services for Peggy Jirasek, 84, of Gainesville are scheduled for Saturday May 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Gainesville with Dr. Bennie Slack officiating. Burial will follow in New Resthaven cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation is scheduled for Friday May 21, 2010 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Peggy was born on July 19, 1925 in Gainesville to Marshall and Lillian Norman Brooks. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She passed away Thursday May 20, 2010 at North Texas Medical Center.

Peggy is survived by daughter and son in law Marsha and George Geurin of Dallas, daughter and son in law Janie and Mike McMackin of Sulphur Springs, and a grandson and granddaughter in law Ryan and Alisha McMackin in Roanoke.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Billy Brooks.
