Stanley Harless Hurt

Services are set for Stanley Harless Hurt, age 57, for Friday, September 7th, at 10:00 AM at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel. The Rev. Michael Johnson will officiate. There is no family visitation planned.

Mr. Hurt died on September 4th at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1950 in Sophia, W. Va. to Harless and Phillis Hurt. He attended schools in gainesville, later joined the Marine Corps at age 17. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord, riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by son & daughter-in-law Larry & Michelle Hurt of Valley View, Chad Hurt of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law Cindy and Eric Hammer of Gainesville, and 8 grandchildren, his sisters & brothers-in-law Donna & Lynn Wages of Whitesboro, Debbie & Ted Black, Garnett & Richard Hoy, Tammy & Gene Rohmer, all of Gainesville, Barbara & Jay Raley of Valley View, Sharon & Bear Beery of California, brother & siste-in-law Lawrence & Vicky Hurt of Gainesville.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Randall Hurt.
