Libby Mitchell Tanner

Services for Libby Mitchell Tanner, of Plano, will be held Friday August 10th at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel at 10:00 A.M with the Rev. Kim Hall officiating. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family visitation will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-7 PM.

Libby died on August 6th after a 10 year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Monahans, Tx. on September 8, !949 to Joe and Glena Mitchell. She was a 1969 graduate of Gainesville High School and attended NTSU. She married John Tanner on February 12, 1971.

She is survived by her husband John Tanner of Plano, mother Glena Mitchel of Plano, son and daughter-in-law J.B. & Gayle Tanner of Highland Village and grandson Jack, daughter and son-in-law Mary & Bo Wilson of Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Mitchell.
