Van G. Griffith

Graveside service for Van G. Griffith, 60, formerly of Gainesville, is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Griffith died June 18, 2007.

He was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Gainesville to Claude Lee and Jessie Faulkner Griffith. He had formerly been employed by the City of Dallas in the sanitation department.

Survivors include his daughters, Diane Lowry and Becky Griffith; brothers, C.L., Billy Joe, Gerald Wayne, Paul Ray and Matt Griffith; and sisters, Sandra Kay Carrigan and Shirley Fay Griffith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and one brother.

No visitation is planned.
