WHITESBORO — Graveside service for Julie Elaine Thurman, 6, of Whitesboro is set for 10 a.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery with Rusty Renfroe officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Julie Elaine Thurman died Sept. 26, 2007, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas.

She was born July 9, 2001, in Gainesville to Joseph and Gina Surratt Thurman. Julie was active in the Callisburg School activities and was a cheerleader for the Callisburg area youth sports association. She was also a tumbler, active at Lone Star.

Survivors include her parents, Joseph and Gina Thurman of Whitesboro; siblings, Dade and Conner Thurman of Whitesboro; grandparents, Dale and Zona Thurman of Gainesville, Paul Sr. and Pamila Thurman of Whitesboro, and Jacquetta Surratt; great-grandparents, Ben and Mary Ellen Turbeville of Gainesville, Bobbie Surratt of Gainesville and Gene McCrory of Marietta, Okla.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, J.D. Surratt; grandfather, Mike Surratt; and grandmother, Julie Turbeville Eberhart.

Pallbearers are Paul Thurman Sr., Paul Thurman Jr., Joseph Thurman, Anthony Thurman, Randal Holley, and Jeremy Conner.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
