Clara Imogene Scott

THACKERVILLE, Okla. — Services for Clara Imogene Scott, 88, of Thackerville, Okla. are set for Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville officiated by the Rev. Dwight Hawkins and the Rev. Ronnie Harris. Burial will follow in New Resthaven Cemetery in Gainesville under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scott died Sept. 22, 2007 at Love County Health Center in Marietta, Okla.

She was born Feb. 15, 1919 in Whitesboro to Thomas Harvey and Ella Elizabeth Teague.

She married Frank Leonard Scott Aug. 1, 1940 in Gainesville. She worked as a National Youth Administrator in Gainesville and later at Texas State College for Women in Denton. After her marriage, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Elaine & Delton Winters, Gainesville; Frankie Jean & A.J. Ellison, Hearne; Dolores & David Milam, Marietta, Okla.; Martha & Mark Smith, Roanoke; Dale & Laujuana Scott, Thackerville, Okla.; Thomas Richard & Jeannie Scott, Gainesville; Ira Lee & Ann Scott, Taylors, S.C.; Harold & Rita Scott, Thackerville, Okla.; Gary & Annie Scott, Thackerville, Okla; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Rudene Segrist, many nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Fred Segrist; Woodrow Bagwell; Alice Scott; Benny & Maudene Mason; Opal Pittner and Leola Murrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Leonard Scott on June 16, 2006, her brother, Gilbert Teague and her sisters, Velma Thacker, Nancy Mae Mitchell & Elwanda Bagwell.

Visitation is planned for 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
