Charlie Steed

Funeral services for "Charlie" Charles G. Steed 54, of Gainesville will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Geo J. Carroll and Son funeral home chapel with Don westbrook officating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday December 13, 2010 at the funeral home. Charlie passed away Thursday December 9, 2010 at the Wilson & Jones Hospital in Sherman Tx.



Charlie was born April 26, 1956 to Tom and Edalou Steed in Gainesville Tx. He was a member of the Ducks Unlimted Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. and was a fishing guide for many years. Charlie spent many hours doing what he loved which was his taxidermy work. He worked earlier for many years at the Commerce St. store. He was currently employed at the Walmart Distribution Center.



He is survived by his mother, Edalou Steed; sister and brother in law Kevin and Vickie Camp; Glenda Steed; daughters, Becki and Kelli Steed; son and daughter in law Brad and Alicia Steed; grandchildren Skylar Nottingham, Jaden Murrell, Braden Wetmore and Ryleigh Steed, several aunts, uncles and cousins.



He was preceded in death by his father,Tom Steed and brother Keith Steed. and Grandparents Sam and Thelma Smith. Pallbearers will be Jim Lundberg, Rob Ferrell, Curtis Brooks, Ronnie Brooks, Bud Peters and Eugene Gilliland. Honorary pallbearers are Phil Bellows, Chuck Gamble, Jeff Hellman, Evan Purvis, Eric Ramsey and Calvin King.
