Jimmy Charles Liedtke

Services for Jimmy Liedtke are set for Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Geo. J. Carroll Chapel. Services will be conducted by Rev. Darrell McIntyre with interment at the Fairview Cemetery. No family visitation is planned.

Mr. Liedtke was born in Gainesville on January 8, 1937 to Elmore and Marie Foster Liedtke. He died on November 11, 2007 at his residence. He was married on July 26, 1958 in Gainesville to Barbara Wilson.

he attended Gainesville schools and graduated in 1957. He was a member of the Texas National Guard and was activated during the Berlin Crisis. He was manager and co-owner of Liedtke Oil Company. He later became associated with Liedtke Motor Company until his retirement in 2002.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, Jimmy Liedtke Jr. of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law Amy Colby Langley of Austin, grandchildren Brylie and Chisam, brothers Bill Liedtke of Southlake, Frank Liedtke and Bob Liedtke of Gainesville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, David Liedtke.
