Lula Mae Evans

Services for Lula Mae Evans, 67, of Gainesville are pending with Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

The service is to be conducted by the Rev. Philip Butler of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Evans died Oct. 25, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.

She was born May 15, 1940, to Harry Miller and Lula McKay Byars in Burneyville, Okla.

Survivors include: sons, Vincent Evans of Gainesville, Ernest Evans of Houston, Sidney Evans of Gainesville, and Manuel Evans of Gainesville; daughters Valerie Eaglin of Houston and Margaret Evans of Sacramento, Calif.; sister Billie Rose Cross of Gainesville; and eight grandchildren.

The was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robyn Byars, and sister Thelma Lee Newberry.
