GREENVILLE — Graveside service for Helen Eikman, 79, of Greenville, formerly of Gainesville, is set for 3 p.m. today at Fairview Cemetery with Boyd Tatum officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Ms. Eikman died March 12, 2008, at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1929, in Ben Franklin to Tom and Pearl Stanfield Tatum. Helen attended Gainesville Public Schools and worked in Gainesville as a waitress for 43 years. She enjoyed working in her garden.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Robin Munson of Mansfield, Linda and Randle Risner of Gainesville and Robbie and Mike Carlile of Greenville; grandson, Michael Munson of Houston; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brothers, Rev. T.L. Tatum, Truman Tatum and T.J. Tatum; by her sister, Lucille Smith; and by her former husband, Mansel Eikman.
No visitation is planned.
