Patsy Sloan

AKE KIOWA — Services for Patsy J. Sloan, 68, of Lake Kiowa are set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lake Kiowa Lodge with Rev. Pat Murphy, O.S.A. of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Gainesville, officiating under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sloan died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas.

She was born Dec. 29, 1938 in Jefferson to Walter and Mildred Beal Alderson. She married Donald L. Sloan on May 15, 1962 in Dallas.

Patsy Sloan graduated from high school and a business school. She was formerly employed as an administrative assistant at Texas Instruments. She was a member of the Lake Kiowa Women’s Clum, the Bible Study Group, Kiowa Garden Club and a “42” Club.

Survivors include her husband, David L. Sloan, daughter and son-in-law Lea Ann and Phil Sorgen, Toronto, Ontario, one granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews sisters Treva A. Hawkins of Atlanta, Ga., Louise Southall, Hurst, Janette Jackson, Dallas and Phillip Alderson, Garland.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
