Dakota Lamkin

Funeral Services for Dakota Lamkin, 8, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.L. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Hood Cemetery. A visitation is set for 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Geo J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Dakota was born to parents Eddie and Carol Lamkin on August 21, 2000 and passed away on May 13, 2009 at Children's Medical Center in Dallas after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

Survivors include his mother and father Eddie and Carol Lamkin; sisters Madison and Lynsey; grandparents Linda and Jimmie Ray Muller, and Mary and Harvey Lamkin; great grandparents Jimmie and Rose Muller, and Allen Melius; aunts and uncles Jo Ann and Laren Hudson, Becky and Sean Davis, Jessica Muller, Kelly Lamkin, and numerous other relatives.

Dakota is preceeded in death by Carolyn Muller, Gen and Ed Pels, Josophine Melius, and William and Lennie Lamkin.
