MIKLOS NAGY
LINDSAY — Services for Miklos Nagy, 71, of Lindsay are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Ron Scheible, O.S.A., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mr. Nagy died March 12, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
He was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Dunasziget, Hungary, to Benedek and Julianna Nagy. On April 23, 1977, he married Shirley Streng in St. Peter’s Church in Lindsay. Miklos arrived in the United States on Dec. 8, 1956, and settled in Lindsay. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, working in his shop and tending his cattle.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Nagy of Lindsay; daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Brad Wolf of Lindsay; grandchildren, Gracie and Travis Wolf of Lindsay; and sister, Margit Beko of Hungary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brothers, Tibor and Benedek Nagy; by his sister and brother-in-law, Otill and Gylva Marko; and brother-in-law, Lajos Beko.
Pallbearers are Brad and Walter Wolf, Gene Schmidlkofer, Donnie Sandmann, Ronnie Zimmerer and Jimmy Sandmann.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, followed by a visitation.
