LOWELL BRANSFORD

Funeral services for Lowell Bransford, 85, of Gainesville are set for 9 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Gainesville with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends this evening, June 17, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Lowell was born on Aug. 3, 1924 in Dickens to Walter and Gertrude Hicks Bransford. Lowell retired from National Supply and was a co-owner of T & L Shoes in Gainesville and Denton. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Maidette Bransford of Ardmore Okla.; son, Bob and his wife Pam Bransford; daughter, Sharon and her husband Lynn Johnson, all of Gainesville; grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Heidi Johnson of McKinney, Cheryl and Pat Shaughnessey of Highland Village, Christy and Eric Johns, Misty and Steve Schmitz, Amanda and Matt Scivally and Scott Bransford, all of Gainesville; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Wilbur Whittle of Ardmore Okla.; sister-in-law, Jeanetto Bailey of Salem, Ore.; step-children and their spouses, Jon and Dusty Weichbrodt, Randy and Jana Weichbrodt, Anna Lynn and Bill Lumpkin and Brenda and Robert Heller and 13 step-grandchildren.

Mr. Bransford was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jeannie Bransford and brothers and sisters, Bryon Bransford, Winnie Talkington, Sue Whittle and Billy Ray Bransford.

Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Pat Shaughnessy, Eric Johns, Steve Schmitz, Scott Bransford and Matt Lumpkin.
