Funeral services for Jeannine West Faulkner, 79, of Lake Kiowa are set for Thursday June 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Gainesville, Texas with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Carroll Chapel.
Mrs. Faulkner died on June 7, 2010 at her home at Lake Kiowa. She was born on March 25, 1931 in Whitesboro, Texas to Charlie and Hazel Byrne West. She married Glenn R. Wilson on June 20, 1949 in Whitesboro, Tx. To their union was born three children Karen Elaine, Patricia Jean and Gregory Glenn Wilson. She was later married to Ray C. (Pete) Faulkner on November 18, 1972 in Gainesville.
She was active and a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville and a member of the Adult Young at Heart Sunday School Class. She was an active member of the Lake Kiowa Womens Club, three Bridge and Gin clubs as well as the Birthday and the Gourmet Clubs. She enjoyed traveling the world extensively.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Keith Thompson of Highland Village, Patti and Joe Wallace of Gainesville, her son and daughter-in-law Greg and Kathy Wilson of Abilene; her granddaughters Kristie Schnau of Flower Mound, Lauren Ann Brown of Abilene; grandsons and their wives Kraig and Ami Thompson of Ft. Worth, Bradley and Holly Wallace of Ft. Worth, Brian and Sara Wallace of Gainesville, and 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers and their wives James Landon and Norma West of Plainview, Dean and Frances West of Callisburg; two sisters and their husbands Martha and Stanley Welch of Whitesboro, Kathy and Harvey Clark of Whitesboro; two stepsons and their wives Roy C. (Rip) and Lucy Faulkner of El Paso, Ron and Karen Faulkner of Ohio.
