Mildred Barnhart Whaley

Funeral Service for Mildred Whaley, 91, of Whitewright, formerly of Gainesville, are set for Tuesday April, 27 2010 at 10:00 am at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Reverends Jim Goodwin and Leon Veazey officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday April 26 2010 form 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mildred was born on December 2, 1918 in Cooke Co. to Harry and Edna Walker Barnhart. She was a member of Whaley Methodist Church and married James N. Whaley Jr. on July 15, 1940 at the church. Mildred went to be with Jesus on Saturday April 24, 2010 following a short illness.

Mrs Whaley is survived by her daughter and son in law Vicki and Dan Jones of Douglasville, GA., son and daughter in law Jim and Sue Ann Whaley of Whitewright, six granchildren Shannon, Davin, Jason, Zachery, Courtney, and Eric, seven great-grandchildren William, Mason, Garrett, Morgan, Micha, Paige, and Zane, and a brother in law Cliff Howe of Gainesville. She is also survived by nephews Mack Barnhart, Mike Howe, Pat Howe, and Tim Howe, and nieces Jill Howe Dugger, Suzette Young, Paula Freeman, and Beth Reinhardt.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband in 1990.
