Kenneth Followill

Funeral Services for Kenneth Alton Dee Followill, 80, of Gainesville, are set for Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 10:00 am at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Eddie Chennault officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Visitation is set for Tuesday May 11, 2010 from 9:00 - 10:00 am at Temple Baptist Church.
Mr. Followill was born on April 10, 1930 in Knox County to Walter and Bertha Baleman Followill. He married Eva Mize on June 9, 1951 in Anson, TX. Kenneth owned Reliable Power Tong Service for 35 years. He loved to fish, play cards and dominoes, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church since 1957. Kenneth was a 50 year member of the Gainesville Masonic Lodge #210. He received the Golden Trowel Award in 2009. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, devoting years to the Scottish Rite Hospital for children and a member of MOSLAH Shrine Temple. Mr. Followill passed away on May 9, 2010 in Gainesville.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Eva Followill of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law Donna DeeNell and Mark Mask of Gainesville, sister Opal Simpson of Claypool, AZ, granddaughters Brandi Barnett of McKinney and Emily Ann McNairn of Ardmore, OK, and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Darrall Dee Followill, and seven brothers and sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanford House or Temple Baptist Church in Kenneth's name.
