Marie Parr

Funeral services for Marie Parr, 84, of Tyler, will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Quaid officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Monday, August 23, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parr died on August 19, 2010 in Tyler.

She was born November 7, 1925 to Lorenza and Sarah Harris Clement in Montague County. She was raised and attended school in Forestburg. She married Delbert Orville Parr on January 12, 1946 in Gainesville. She moved to Tyler in July of 2003 where she was a member of University Church of Christ. She was also a former member of Commerce Street Church of Christ in Gainesville as well as Collinsville Church of Christ.

Mrs. Parr is survived by her daughter Conna Sutton of Tyler, her granddaughters Kristin Ehlers of Frisco and Angela Beard of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 brothers.
