Curtis Allen Howell, Jr.

Curtis Allen Howell, Jr., 20, of Valley View went to be with the Lord Sunday August 22, 2010 at North Texas Medical Center in Gasinesville.  Curtis was born May 12, 2010 in Columbia, South Carolina to Curtis Allen Howell, Sr. and Jennifer Reicosky.  Curtis graduated from Valley View High School in 2009.  He  graduated basic training and AIT school for the Army in 2009.  He was very proud to be an American Solider.  He loved hanging out with his brothers, cousins, friends, and his golden retriever: "Major."  He played football from the time he was 7 years old to semi-pro for the Texas Outlaws.  He loved every minute of it.

Curtis is survived by his parents: Curtis Allen Howell, Sr. of Valley View and Jennifer L. Riecosky and Bill Gray of Comanche, OK; twin brothers: Trenton and Trevor Cusumano; grandma: Gail Bray of Ogden, UT; great-grandma: Nancy L Hawes of Marlow, OK; aunt and uncle: Dawn and Kenny Mayes of Bray. OK; cousins: Trey, Amber, and Kagan Mayes of Bray, OK, Jordon Mayes of Bray, OK, Logan Mayes of Bray, OK; and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Curtis will be Thursday August 26, 2010 at 10 am in the Geo J Carroll & Son Chapel with 1st Army Chaplin Schrier Assistant officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Geo J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  A family visitation will be held Wednesday August 25, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Honory pallbearers will be :Jordon Mayes, Logan Mayes, Trey Mayes, Devin Whetzel, Taylor Boaz, Mikey Taylor, Shelby Ward, Jay Henslee, David Martin, and Dustyn Whetzel.
